DHSS TENANTS
1. Contact your local Housing Executive and get a Pre Tenancy Determination form. Complete your own details and pass the form to Jordanstown real estate for processing. The Housing Executive will then post a letter to both you and us with an estimate of your rent allowance. Only when you have received this should you contact Jordanstown Real Estate to arrange to view the property.
1. Complete Homelet aplication form (available from our office). There is a £30.00 non refundable charge (by Homelet) for processing this applciation. The process may also necessitate a credit check.
3. Complete the Jordanstown Real Estate Guarantor form also available from our office.
4. Complete Homelet and confimed Guarantor status you will then need to sign the Tenancy Agreement (normally a 12 month contract).
5. You will also at this stage be required to pay the first months rent in advance and also a deposit equivalent to the first months rent plus £100.00.
For example if the property you would like to rent has a monthly rental of £400.00 per month, you will be required to pay £400,00 plus a deposit of £400.00 + £100 = £500.00, giving a today initial payment of £900.00.
Any shortfall in the monthly rent must be paid by cheque, cash or standing order. Obtain a housing benefit claim form from your local Housing Executive, complete your details and leave the form with Jordanstown Real Estate. We shall then complete the landlord details and forward the form to the Housing Executive for processing.
Please note: If paying by cheque it can take up to 10 days for payment to clear. Keys cannot be given out until payments have cleared.
6. Future payments can be made by cheque, cash or standing order.
7. Your deposit will be returned to you at the end of the tenancy subject to an inspection of the property and approval that all rental payments are up to date.
